A. Salt and Light
1. (Matt. 5:13-16 MSG) We are called to be the salt and light of the world.
2.(2 Cor. 5:20 AMP) We are Christ’s personal representatives.
3.(2 Tim. 3:1-9) In the last days many will resist the truth!
4.(2 Thess. 2:1-4) a great falling away
5.(Matt. 28:18-20) We must be discipled.
6.(John 8:31-32) Knowing the truth makes you free.
B. Angel of Light
1. (2 Cor. 11:1-4)
a.(v2) Leave the world and cleave to Christ
b.(v3) The same way Eve was deceived is the same way the church can be deceived – through corrupted thinking.
c. (v4) a different Jesus, spirit, gospel than Paul preached.
2.(2 Cor. 11:13-15)
a.(v13) Jesus said in Matt. 7:21-23, “Not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord…”
~Many well-meaning believers will be deceived.
b.(v14) Satan always appears as an angel of light not darkness!
c.(v15) these ministers hijack God’s words like “love,” and don’t discriminate, can’t offend, compassion, marriage equality etc.
3.(Isa. 14:12-17) The fall of Lucifer.
4.(Gen. 2:16-17; 3:1-5) The tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
a.(Matt. 19:16-17) The rich young ruler.
