A.The Importance of Diligent Work
1.(Prov. 10:4-5; 12:11, 24, 27; 13:4, 11 all NLT) One of the primary causes of lack and poverty according to the proverbs is laziness, an unwillingness to work.
2.(Eph. 2:10 AMP/NLT) There’s more to your work than just a paycheck. You are God’s workmanship (masterpiece) created to do His good works.
a.(Matt. 5:13-16 MSG; 2 Cor. 5:20 AMP) the Big picture – our work is for more than just making a living it’s part of representing the kingdom.
3.(Gen. 2:1-2 NLT; John 5:16-17 NLT) God works and we are made to do some type of work. You cannot succeed if you don’t work!
a.(Acts 18:1-3; 2 Thess. 3:6-15) If you don’t work you’re not supposed to eat!

4.The proverbs repeatedly teach the importance and value of diligent, hard work.
