I.Winning the Good Fight of Faith
A. Stand in God’s Armor
1.(ref. 1 Tim. 6:12) “Fight the good fight of faith…”
2.(ref. 2 Cor. 10:3-5) carnal vs. spiritual weapons
3.(Eph. 6:10-18) the whole armor of God.
B. The Belt of Truth
1. (Eph. 6:14a AMP) “Stand therefore [hold your ground], having tightened the belt of truth around your loins…”
a. (John 8:44) Satan’s kingdom is rooted in lies and God’s greatest weapon is the truth.
2. (John 8:31-32) knowing and believing the truth makes us free from Satan’s bondage.
a. (John 17:17) God’s Word is the truth and is our ONLY source of truth.
~Truth is the absolute standard whereby all reality is measured.
~Truth is reality in its original form; it’s the way things actually are.
~Truth is God’s view on any subject.
~Truth is greater than “fact.”
b. ([John 1:1-4, 14 KJV]; 14:6) God, His Word and Truth are inseparable, one and the same.
~(Rom. 3;3-4; Tit. 1:2; Heb. 6:13-18) God cannot lie!
c. (Ps. 12:6-7; 119:89, 151-152, 160) Truth is eternal.
~(Matt. 24:35) God’s word cannot change.
d. (Ps. 138:2) God has magnified His word above all His name.
e. (Heb. 1:3) God is upholding all things by His word.
