I. Winning Against the Strategies of the Devil
A. Lions, Serpents & Scorpions
1. (John 10:10 AMP; Luke 10:17-19; 1 Pet. 5:8) “…like a roaring lion…”
a. Nocturnal – active at night. Lethargic in the daytime. Darkness is the devil’s domain.
~(Eph. 5:8-15 NLT) live in the light

~We all struggle with sin at some level, but don’t live in sin. Struggle in the light!
~(Heb. 4:15-16)
b. Separate prey from the group. Lions want to separate the weak from the group.

c. Territorial – (the roar is to intimidate and cause fear)
~(2 Tim. 1:7) fear is not from God!
~(Heb. 2:14-15) fear of death subject to bondage
2. Satan depicted as a serpent (Gen. 3:1 AMP; 2 Cor. 11:3)
a. (Eph. 4:26-27) sleeping on anger, bitterness give place to the devil.
b. (Gen. 2:25 – 3:11 all NLT)
3. Scorpions are nocturnal, small and venomous.
