I. Understanding Satan’s Devices
A. Satan’s Bait
1. (2 Cor. 2:11) Satan can take advantage of us if we are ignorant of his devices.
a. Satan’s battleground is our thoughts. He lies to us about everything contrary to God’s Word or truth.
2. (Jas. 1:12-18 NLT) Satan’s only weapons are temptation and deception.
a. (Rom. 6:16 NLT) slave to sin which brings death, or choose to obey God which leads to life.
3. (1 John 2:15-17) Satan’s bait: the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life.
a. (1 Tim. 6:3-10 NLT) love of money the root of all kinds of evil. Let’s look at Judas Iscariot:
