A. Spirit, Soul and Body
1. (ref. 1 Thess. 5:23) You are spirit – the real you, the eternal you, made after the image, likeness, and dominion of God you. You possess a soul (control center) – your mind, will, intellect, emotions, and imagination. And you live in an earth-suit called a body.
2. (Jas. 1:21-25 TPT) The Bible is your spiritual mirror.

B.New Creation
1. Let’s understand what happens when we receive Jesus/get born again/get saved.
a. (John 3:3-7 NLT) born-again of the Spirit
~(Rom. 10:9-10 NASB95) How do I receive Jesus?
~heart believe + mouth confess = salvation
b. (1 Pet. 1:23 AMP) How does the new birth occur?
~God’s Word = God’s Seed (sperm)
c. (2 Cor. 5:17-18) new creation in Christ
~(Eph. 2:1, 5-6) dead in sin, now alive in Christ
~Seated in heavenly places in Christ.
2. (Eph. 1:3, 7, 11) In Christ… in Him… through Him… is your new identity.
a. God didn’t just change your life when you got born-again; He exchanged your old life with His!
b. (1 John 4:17b) “…as He is, so are we in this world.”
