A. Transformed from the Inside-Out
1. Foundation text: (Rom. 8:2, 5-8, 12-13) The natural life versus spiritual life. Death vs. Life and Peace.
a.(ref. 1 Thess. 5:23) we are triune beings
~(ref. 2 Cor. 5:17-18) new creation in Christ
-(1 Pet. 1:23 AMP) born-again of God
~(ref. Col. 2:10) everything in Him is in you now
~(ref. Jas 1:23-25) God’s Word=spiritual mirror
2. God’s Word is vitally important to us for life!
a.(John 6:63) God’s Word = spirit and life
~(John 17:17) God’s is the truth!
~(John 8:31-32) knowing the truth=freedom
b.(2 Cor. 4:6-9) this treasure in earthen vessels
c. (Prov. 23:7) as he thinks in his heart so is he
d.(Prov. 27:19 NIV) life reflects what’s in the heart
~(Matt. 12:33-35)
3. (Rom. 12:1-2) all transformation in life is the result of the mind renewal process.
a. (Eph. 4:17-24) put off the old man and put on the new by renewing the spirit of your mind.
