I. Living in God’s Will for Your Life

A.God’s Will

1.The Will of God is first and foremost more a matter of being versus doing, having or going. (Col. 1:9-12; 1 Thess. 5:16-23)

2.God’s Will for you is to serve Him with all your heart regardless of your circumstances. (Eph. 6:5-8)

3.God’s Will is in you in Christ. (Phil. 2:12-15)

4.God’s Will comes naturally through the new man as you present your body a living sacrifice, and renew your mind. (Rom. 12:1-2)

5.(John 15:4-8 TPT) The will of God is revealed and made known to me in genuine relationship with Christ not religion or rules.

6.(Jer. 29:11-13 NIV) God’s Will is found in your wholehearted, relentless pursuit of Him.

B.The Evolution of God’s Will in Your Life

1.(Ps. 37:4-8) The process of God’s Will through intimate relationship with Christ.

a.(v4) “Delight yourself also in the LORD and He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Delight – take great pleasure in, love, relish, savor, enjoy greatly, wallow, adore

(Luke 10:38-42) One thing is needed!

b.(v5) “Commit your way to the LORD, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass.”

(Prov. 16:3 AMP) “Roll your works upon the LORD…”

c.(v6) God is doing a work in you and making you light.

d.(v7) “Rest in LORD…”

“wait patiently for Him…”
Do not fret
Because of him who prospers in his way
~Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass
(v8) “Cease from anger, and forsake wrath
C.Testing Your Desires
1.(John 17:17) Do my desires violate scriptures or kingdom principles?
a.Many are seeking answers from God that He’s already answered in the scriptures.
2.(Rom. 13:10 NLT) Do my desires hurt or harm me, my family or the body of Christ?
(My feelings, and pride may be hurt and there will be sacrifice.)
3.(Prov. 11:14; 24:6) Will my desires pass the test and judgment of sound council?
4.(2 Cor. 13:1) Look for confirmation.
D.Do the Obvious
1.(Col. 3:23) Do the obvious, what’s in front of you right now with all your heart as unto the LORD.
