A.God, Sex and Sexuality
1.(Rev. 17:1-2; 18:1-3 all NLT) One of the greatest weapons the devil uses to derail our destinies and destroy our lives is sexual immorality!
a. (Isa. 5:20) End-time upside down thinking!
b. We must protect our children from the pedophile, the pervert, perversion, pornography and promiscuity.
B.God Created Sex and Sex is Good Only in Marriage Context
1. (Gen. 2:21-25) God created sex and sex is very good in the context of marriage (man/woman, husband/wife.)
a. (Heb. 13:4 NKJV/NIV/NLT/MSG) Sex is a gift from God for married couples. Sex outside the framework of marriage it is dangerous, damaging and potentially deadly.
~Ie: fire, water, Ark of the covenant
b. Virginity and total abstinence must be celebrated and valued!
2.The dangers, damage and death associated with sex outside of marriage.
a.(1 Cor. 6:9-11, 15-20 NLT, 7:1-2 NKJV)
b.(Rom. 1:18-32 NLT)
c.(1 Thess. 4:1-8 NKJV)
~God’s judgment against the unrighteous
~Becoming one with someone body, and soul
-Physical and emotional ties
-Chemicals released in brain during sex
-Multiplicity of sexual partners
-Sexual history
~Sins against your own body
-Common STD’s (sexually transmitted diseases) chlamydia, gonorrhea, genital herpes, hepatitis B, HIV, AIDS, pubic lice, syphilis, trichomoniasis
-HPV (human papilloma virus)- Because HPV often has no signs or symptoms, males and females can get the virus without knowing it and then pass it on. Exposure can happen with any kind of adolescent experimentation that involves genital contact with someone who has HPV — intercourse isn’t necessary, but it is the most common way to get the virus.
