I.Effective Prayer

A.Delay Is Not Denial

1.Pray and don’t quit until you have it.

a.(Luke 18:1-8 GNT) This is a comparison by contrast parable.

~God answers prayers quickly but some amount of time may transpire between the “ask” and the manifestation. Delay does not mean denial!

~Stay in faith! Keep speaking to your mountains!

b.(Matt. 7:7-11) The A. S. K. process.

~Ask, Seek, Knock – job, career, spouse, etc.

~Do your due diligence!

c.(Jas. 5:16b AMP) “…The earnest heartfelt, continued prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available dynamic in its working.”

2. 5 reasons for delay in answered prayer:

         #1      Some delay is demonic.

~(Dan. 10:1-14 GNT) demonic opposition

~(Eph. 6:10-12; 1 Thess. 2:17-18)

         #2      Some delay is divine.

~2:2-3 CSB/NIV/GNT)

~Some situations, people or things must be changed, repositioned or developed.

#3      Some delay separates God given desire from passing whims. (Ps. 37:3-5)

#4      Some delay may help refine your request.

~Shonia and I wanted business but through prayer found out it was ministry.

#5      Delay prepares me for the answer and more.

~(Eph. 3:20 AMP; Matt. 14:20-21)
