A. Fearing God = Hating Evil
1. What is the Fear of the Lord?
a. It is to have reverential, awe, respect, and honor for God. Trusting and obeying who He is and what He says above everything else.
b. The fear of the LORD is developed by knowing God through a real relationship with Jesus and His Word.
2. (Prov. 8:13; [14:16 NIV]; 16:6) Fearing God = hating evil. Because God loves you He hates evil and sin because it destroys you. i.e. wife/kids.
a. (Matt. 25:41, 46) How does a God of love and grace send people He loves to hell? God isn’t sending people to hell, their rejection of Jesus’ sacrifice for their sins sends them to hell.

b. We should hate sin and evil like we hate disease! What you don’t hate you will tolerate.
