A.What is the Fear of the Lord?
1.The Proverbs are the concentrated wisdom of God in hardcopy. The Proverbs expose natural and spiritual laws. True success in life is a matter of cooperating with natural/spiritual laws.

b. (Eccl. 12:13-14 NIV) The conclusion of the matter of life– “Fear God. Do what He tells you.” (MSG)
2.(Prov. 2:1-5 AMP) the first benefit mentioned in the proverbs of seeking God’s wisdom is the fear of the LORD.
a. What is the Fear of the Lord?
~(Isa. 11:1-3) It is not terror, condemnation, or dread of God.
~It is to have reverential, awe, respect, honor, awareness of, obedience and submission to who God is and what He says above everything else.
~(Ps. 34:8-11) The fear of the LORD is developed by knowing God through a true relationship with Jesus.
~There are many believers who don’t have the fear of the LORD!
b. Fear of the Lord

~(Prov. 9:10; Ps. 111:10) beginning of wisdom
~(Job 28:28) equals wisdom

~(Ps. 115:11; Prov. 3:5-10) trusting God
