A. Prison Transfer

1. One of the most prevalent themes and principles in the proverbs is righteousness and its promises.

a. (Prov. 12:3, 5-7, 10, 12, 13, 17, [21 AMP], 26, 28)

2.What is righteousness?

a.Righteousness – total acquittal; clearance from all

guilt shame; right standing and right relationship with God. (Justified, just, right, upright)

~(Heb. 5:12-13) babes in Christ

~(Matt. 6:31-33) Seek first the kingdom and His righteousness and all these things will be added.

– (Rom. 14:17)

b.(ref. Rom. 5) You became a sinner because of Adam’s deeds; you became righteous because of Jesus’ deeds. Your deeds have nothing to do with either status!

3.(Rom. 6:1-23 NLT) Because we were slaves of sin and death, but now slaves of righteousness and life, sin and death no longer have dominion over us.
