Feeling a calling to deliver the Good News to the congregation of Destiny?
Overview
- All communicators will give a message from one verse or theme for their Sunday message.
- Leaders and In Search of Timothy class completers are invited to submit an application that includes his/her role on the team and a brief outline of his/her message.
- Applications are evaluated, and potential speakers are assigned a time for development.
- Communicators work on message outline, communication technique, and stage presence.
- Through small group settings or one-on-one, Pastor will provide direct, honest feedback for communicators.
What exactly is the development process?
First touchpoint ~The pre-determined message topic is discussed (communicator will make topic) ~Prospective speaker will submit an outline for a message
Second touchpoint ~This will take place one-on-one or in a small group with Pastor ~The speaker will bring their complete message notes for feedback ~Pastor will provide feedback on message cohesion, use of humor/story, scripture references. ~Pastor will help the speaker edit/refine the message
Third touchpoint ~Prospective speaker comes prepared to deliver their message ~This meeting may be small group or one-on-one ~Pastor provides feedback on delivery ~There may be additional times to meet or talk but at minimum there will be three opportunities for notes/feedback for the speaker.
- Pastor provides an encouraging introduction for the communicator.
- Communicator presents his/her message.
- This message will be recorded
- The communicator reviews his/her presentation.
- Communicator and Pastor connect for feedback and debrief.
