I. Winning the Good Fight of Faith
A. Stand in God’s Armor
1. (ref. 1 Tim. 6:12) “Fight the good fight of faith…”
2. (ref. 2 Cor. 10:3-5) carnal vs. spiritual weapons
3. (Eph. 6:10-19) standing in the whole armor of God.
1. Belt of Truth
2. Breastplate of Righteousness
3. Boots of the Gospel of Peace
4. Shield of Faith
5. Helmet of Salvation
6. Sword of the Spirit (Word of God)
7. Prayer and Supplication in the Spirit
B. Praying Always (Eph. 6:18-19)
1. Prayer is earthly access, that gives permission and consent for heavenly intervention.
a. God needs our consent, cooperation, participation and permission to intervene in our lives except for in judgment.
~(Gen. 1:26; Ps. 8:4-6; 115:16)
~God has given man the right to exclude God from his life and affairs.
b. Prayer doesn’t force God’s hand. You can’t make God do anything He hasn’t already decided to do. Prayer accesses what God has already provided.
2. (Jas. 5:13-18) “…the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much…”
a. (1 Kings 17:1-10; 18:1, 41-46) Elijah
~Even though God said He would send rain, it didn’t rain until Elijah prayed what God promised. Prayer accesses in the natural what God promised in the spirit.
b. Daniel
