B. The Breastplate of Righteousness (v14b)
- (1 John 3:21-23) The breastplate of righteousness protects your heart, your most vital organ.
2. (2 Cor. 5:21) the great exchange at the cross: our sin for His righteousness.
a. What is righteousness? The Greek word for “righteousness” means total acquittal; clearance from all guilt and shame; right standing and right relationship with God. (Justified)
b. (Rom. 1:16-17) the centerpiece and power of the gospel is the righteousness of God by faith.
