B. (Eph. 6:17a) Helmet of Salvation
1. The assurance of our salvation is our defense against anything the enemy throws at us.

2. (1 Thess. 5:8) “…as a helmet the hope of salvation.”
a. hope – elpis- joyful, confident expectation of good.
~Hope is the picture that faith paints for the mind to cling to based on God’s Word.
~(Rom. 5:1-5) hope doesn’t disappoint
~(Rom. 8:24-25 KJV) saved by hope
~(Rom. 4:18) Abraham against hope believed in hope.
3. God wants you to put on a mentality of HOPE – joyful, confident expectation of good all the time.
a. (Rom. 8:28) “…all things work together for good to those who love God…”
b. (2 Cor. 2:14) “Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ …”
