I.Winning Against the Strategies of the Devil
A. The Armor of God 2
1.(Eph. 6:11) “Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”
a. (v14a) The Belt of Truth
B. (v14b) The Breastplate of Righteousness
1. (1 John 3:20-22) the breastplate of righteousness protects our heart from the condemnation of the devil.
a. (ref. Rev. 12:10) “the accuser of the brethren”
2. The deepest root of condemnation.
a. (Gen. 3:7 NLT) Condemnation/shame
b. (Gen. 3:9-10 NLT) Fear & stress
c (Gen. 3:17-19, 23-24 NLT) poverty, sickness etc.
3. (Rom. 5:16-21) Adam’s sin brought condemnation; Jesus death brought righteousness.
a. (John 3:14-21; John 12:27-33) Jesus was judged and condemned for our sins.
~(2 Cor. 5:21) He, who did no sin, became our sin, so we could be His righteousness.
~(Col. 2:13-15 NLT) Jesus disarmed principalities and powers by taking the condemnation for our sin at the cross.
b. (Rom. 8:1-5 NASB) No condemnation for those in Christ.
~(Rom. 10:1-4) Christ is the end of the law for righteousness.
~(Isa. 54:14, 17) established in righteousness
