I. Winning Against the Strategies of the Devil
A.The Armor of God 4
1. (Eph. 6:11) “Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”
a. (v14a) Belt of Truth
b. (v14b) Breastplate of Righteousness
c. (v15) Footwear of the Gospel of Peace
B.(v16) Shield of Faith
1. “Above all” means literally held up over you; a soldier could hide behind his shield.
a. “…with which YOU WILL BE ABLE to quench ALL the fiery darts of the fiery darts of the wicked one (poneros).”
b. Fiery darts can be thoughts the devil throws at your mind, intending to get you to believe, speak words and take actions contrary to God’s Word. (Jas. 1:14-15; 3:6; 2 Cor. 4:13)
2. What is faith? Faith is simply believing and acting on God’s Word. (Heb. 11:1-3; 2 Cor. 4:18)
a. (Rom. 10:17) How does faith come?
3. Some Foundations of Faith
a. (Rom. 1:17; 2 Cor. 5:7) Faith is the foundation of lifestyle for the believer.
b. (1 John 5:4) Faith is our foundation for victory.
c. (Heb. 11:6) Faith is the foundation for pleasing God.
d. (Rom. 4:16; 5:2 both AMP) All of the promises of God are received by grace through faith.
~G.R.A.C.E. Grace is the means or the deposit by which God has provided for all of mankind all of His goodness. (John 1:14, [16 AMP]; Tit. 2:11 AMP)
~(Eph. 2:8-9) Faith accesses what God has provided by grace.
e.(Rom. 3:27; Mark 11:22-24) Faith is a law.
