A. The Sword of the Spirit
1. (Luke 10:17-19; John 8:44; [10:10 AMP]; 1 Pet. 5:8)
a. (2 Cor. 4:4 NLT; 10:3-5 NIV; 11:2-4 NIV; Col. 2:8 NLT) Because the devil’s strategies to destroy are based in stealth, deception, and fear, the weapons of our warfare are based in knowing and standing in God’s truth.

2. Knowing and living in God’s truth sets us free from the lies and bondage of the devil.
a. (John 8:31-32; 15:7-8; 17:17; Ps. 107:20)
b. (Eph. 6:17; Heb. 4:12; Rev. 1:16; 19:15) God’s Word is depicted as a sword.
3. Satan disarms Adam/Eve but Jesus yields the sword of the spirit and overcomes the temptations.
