A.Christ-less Christianity
1.(2 Tim. 3:1-5 NLT) “…They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly…”
2.(2 Pet. 2:1-3 NLT) “…the way of truth will be slandered…”
B.The Foundation
1.(Ps. 11:3) “If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?”
2.(1 Cor. 3:5-15) Jesus Christ is the true and only foundation of Christianity and everything in our life must be built on Him, who He is, what He’s done, what He’s going to do, His principles, and most importantly a personal relationship with Him.
a.(Col. 2:1-10 NLT) Our lives must be built on Him!
3.Jesus’ parable of building your house (life) on the Rock.
a.(Matt. 7:24) “THEREFORE…”
b.(Matt. 7:21-23) If you really “know” Him you will do what He says!
~(John 17:1-3) Eternal life, salvation, true Christianity is knowing Jesus personally and intimately!
c.(Matt. 7:24-27) house built on sand vs. the Rock
~(1 Cor. 10:4) the Rock is Christ
d.(Luke 6:46-49)
~Dug deep and laid the foundation on the Rock
~Built the house on earth without a foundation
