I.The Secret Power of Imagination

A. Imagination as Conception

1. Imagination – the faculty or ability to picture things or concepts in your mind not present to the senses. The imagination is where spiritual conception occurs.

a. yeser – (yaytser) imagination, conception, mind, to frame or to form, thoughts, framework.

b. (Gen. 11:6 AMP) the secret power of imagination.

c. (Ps. 103:14) Your spiritual framework is your mindset. It’s the way you see life that will determine the life you live.

d. (Jas. 1:14-15 AMP) sin is conceived in the imagination.

B. Imagination as Meditation

1. (1 Tim. 4:12-15) “Meditate on these things; give yourself to them, that your progress may be evident to all.” (meletoa – meditate, imagine, be diligent in, contrive, devise.)

2. hagah – meditate, imagine, study, ponder, speak, mutter.

a. meditate – to think deeply or focus one’s mind for a period of time, in silence or with muttering.

~(Andrew Wommack’s story about meditation)

b. (Ps. 1:1-3 NKJV; ref. 2:1 KJV) “…in His law he meditates day and night…”

c. (Josh. 1:8) “…meditate in it day and night…”

d. (Ps. 5:1-2) meditation is a type of prayer.

~(Isa. 26:3) “Whose mind is stayed on You…”

3. (Rom. 8:5-8) Carnal mind vs. spiritual mind.

a. (Gal. 5:16-17, 19-23) fruit of the Spirit vs. works of the flesh

b. (Phil. 4:8; ref. Rom. 12:2) “…meditate on these things.”

~Faith and fear are both based on knowledge. Unfortunately, many believers have more knowledge about sickness than healing.
