I. Building Life on the Right Foundation

A. Man’s Priority, Position and Purpose

1. The Man is the Foundation of the Family

a. (ref. Ps. 11:3) “If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?”

B. The Power of a Kingdom Woman

1. (Gen. 1:26-28) Genesis 1 is the declaration and Genesis 2 is the explanation of creation.

a. Man is the spirit that is placed in two physical models; male and the female.

b. The male and female man are equal in essence but distinct in function in order to accomplish God’s purposes of: reflection, ruler-ship and replenishment.

2. (ref. Gen. 2:4-17) God created the male man first and gave him priority (he is to be the foundation of the family), and position (he is to remain in the presence of God) so he could fulfill his purpose (cultivator, provider, visionary, protector, leader & teacher) before He made the woman.

a. For some men this is very difficult because they’ve never seen the pattern or role model, because they were raised by single mothers doing their best.

b. Single men/women – don’t live your life focused on what you don’t have right now. (Tree of knowledge good and evil)

~Maximize the now while you anticipate the later.

c. (ref. v7) LORD God formed “yasar” man

3. (Gen. 2:18-25) And the LORD God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.”

a. (v18) “the LORD God said, It is not good…”

~helper comparable “ezer kenegedo” God’s strength; suitable face to face counterpart, companion, collaborator, and partner.

b. (v19) LORD God formed “yasar” every beast

c. (v21) deep sleep (ref. Gen. 15:12-18) Abrahamic covenant.

~(ref. John 19:33-34) Jesus’ side was pierced

d. (v22) He made into a woman “bana” build again, build up, repair, rebuild, reshape.

4.(ref. Gen. 3:1-17) The fall of man.

a. (1 Cor. 11:3 AMP) In the same way the triune God is equal in essence but distinct in function so is man.

b. (Prov. 14:1 AMP) the kingdom man is the foundation but the kingdom woman builds the house.
