A.God’s Word is Truth
1.(John 17:17) God’s Word is truth.
a.Why is having truth importantto me?
• (Matt. 7:24-27 NIV) truth determines the foundation andoutcome of my life.
o (ref. Ps. 19:11)
• (John 8:31-32, 36) truth provides freedom from the bondages I have in my life.
b.What is truth? (ref. John 18:37)
• Truth is the absolute standard whereby all reality is measured. Truth is God’s view on any subject matter.
o Truth is eternal
2.(John 8:44) the enemy of truth is Satan, the father of lies.
a.(John 10:10 AMP) Satan’s 3-fold mission: steal, kill and destroy
• (2 Cor. 4:2-4 NLT) Satan hidesthe truth
• (ref. Gen. 3:1) “Did God really say…?”
• (ref. Rev. 12:9) “Satan, who deceives the whole world…”
b.(Amos 8:11-14) Truth is under attack in culture.
• (ref. Prov. 16:25 NIV)
3.How do I get freedom from the Word of Truth?
a.Gratefully receive the truth that saves me.
• (Jas. 1:18 NIV)
b.Humbly accept the truth that confronts me.
• (Jas. 1:21 NIV)

o Have a Bible reading plan.
