I.Promises of Protection 8 – Truths from Ps 91
A.Promises of Protection (Read Psalm 91 NKJV)
1. (Read v1-13) v1 through v13 David is writing, by inspiration of the Holy Spirit, to the reader about the 2
2. (Read v14-16) v14 through v16 the LORD is talking to David about the hearer.
(v15) a. “With long life I will satisfy him,
b. “and show him My salvation.”
B. With Long Life I Will Satisfy Him
1. Long life is a blessing that comes with conditions.
a. (Exo. 23:24-26 NLT)
b. (Deut. 4:40; 5:16, 33; 6:1-2; 25:15 all NLT)
c. (Prov. 3:1-2, 13-16; 4:10-11; 10:27; [16:31 NLT; 28:16 CSB])

2. What does God consider long life? Satisfaction with life!
a. (Ps. 90:7-12) Moses under God’s wrath
b. (Gen. 6:3 NLT)
~(Deut. 34:7) Moses was 120 at death
~(Josh. 14:7-15) Caleb followed the Lord closely.
C. Show Him My Salvation (Yeshua)
1. In Hebrew, the word salvation is “yeshua.” And Yeshua is the Hebrew name for our Lord Jesus. The 5th and final name of God in Ps. 91 is Jesus.
a. “I will show him my Jesus.”
~(2 Cor. 3:18) transformed by seeing Jesus
~(Exo. 14:10-14) “Stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD…”
