I.Reigning in Life
A. Established in Righteousness
1. Foundation verses: (Rom. 5:17) reigning in life
a. (2 Cor. 5:21) Jesus took our sin and we take His righteousness.
2. (Isa. 54:14-17) established in righteousness!
a. (John 1:29) “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!”
b. (John 12:27-33) “…I will draw all judgment to Myself…”
c. (Isa. 52:14; 53:3-11 all AMP) the great redemption chapter
d. (Isa. 54:7-10) God will not even be angry with the righteous.
~ (Luke 2:14) peace on earth and goodwill to men.
3. 5 Foundations of the Gift of Righteousness
#1 (Rom. 1:16-18) Righteousness is revealed not rewarded.
~Not rewarded by works, performance or merit.
~Revealed only in the gospel.
~Revealed from faith to faith
-Progressive in understanding not standing with God.
#2 (Rom. 3:20-26 NLT) Righteousness is declared not deserved.
#3 (Rom. 10:1-4) God’s righteousness vs. man’s righteousness.
~(Isa. 64:6) “…all of our righteousnesses are like filthy rags…”
#4 (Rom. 10:9-10) Believe vs. behave
~(Matt. 5:20) righteousness exceeds the Pharisees
#5 (Rom. 5:15-19) A gift not a bribe
