A. God’s Word Will Transform You
1. Foundation text: (Rom. 8:2, 5-14) The natural life versus spiritual life. Death vs. Life and Peace.
a. (Gal. 5:16-25) Walking in the Spirit causes you not to fulfill the lust of the flesh.
2. (1 Thess. 5:23; Gen. 2:7 KJV) You are spirit (created after the image and likeness of God), you possess a soul (mind, will, intellect, emotions, imagination), and you live in a (earth-suit).
a.(Eph. 2:1-5) We were all dead in sin.
~(John 3:3-7) born-again of the Spirit.
~(Col 2:9-10) complete in Him
b.(2 Cor. 5:16-18) new creation
~(Jas. 1:21-25 GNT) God’s Word is the spiritual mirror.
c.(Rom. 12:1-2) mind renewal brings transformation
~(Eph. 4:17-24) put off the old man and put on the new by renewing the spirit of your mind.
3. God and His Word has to become the priority in your life to live by the spirit and not the flesh or just naturally.
