I. Living in God’s Will for Your Life
A.Delight Yourself in the Lord
1.God’s Will first and foremost is more a matter of BEING vs. doing, having or going. (2 Cor. 5:14-20)
a.God’s Will is for Christ to be seen in you regardless of your career, possessions, where you are or what you do. (Phil. 4:10-13)
2.God’s Will is in me, in Christ. (Col. 1:25-29 GNT; Phil. 2:12-16)
3.God’s Will comes naturally through the new man (Christ) as you present your body a living sacrifice and renew your mind, like sin comes naturally through the old man (Adam). (Rom. 11:36 AMP; 12:1-2)
4.(John 15:4-8 TPT) The will of God is revealed and made known to me in genuine relationship with Christ not religion or rules.
a.(Ps. 37:4-8) The process of God’s Will through intimate relationship with Christ.
• (v4) “Delight yourself also in the LORD and He shall give you the desires of your heart.”
o Delight – take great pleasure in, love, relish, savor, enjoy greatly, wallow, adore
• (Matt. 7:7-11; 18:18-20 AMP; Mark 11:22-24; John 14:12-14) all based on relationship with Christ.
• (Luke 10:38-42) One thing is needed!
