I. Hearing God’s Voice
A. My Sheep Know My Voice
1. (John 10:27 AMP) Hearing God’s voice is the most important aspect of your relationship with Him.
2. Four basic ways to hear God voice: (1) through the conscience; (2) through His Word; (3) through man’s born-again spirit; and (4) through the Holy Spirit.
B. Through the Holy Spirit
1. (Rom. 8:16 AMP) “The Spirit Himself thus testifies together with our own spirit…”
a. (ref. 1 Cor. 6:17 AMP) Your born-again spirit is united with and has become one spirit with the Lord.
2. The new birth versus the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
a. (Rom. 8:9) indwelling Holy Spirit at the new birth.
~(John 20:19-22) disciples receive the indwelling Holy Spirit.
b. (Luke 24:49; Acts 2:1-4) disciples and others are subsequently baptized with the Holy Spirit.
~(John 16:12-15) a few of the functions of the Holy Spirit.
~(ref. 1 Cor. 12:7-11) manifestation gifts of the Spirit. (revelation/utterance/power)
3. (Rom. 8:26-27) praying in other tongues is one way to access and release the knowledge and wisdom of God that’s in your spirit by the Holy Spirit.

b. (1 Cor. 14:2-4, 13-15)
c. (1 Cor. 2:6-14, 16)
