I.Ephesians 1
A.(ref. Eph. 1:17-23) Paul prays a prayer that we should understand and pray.
1. (v17) know His person
a. (Matt. 7:21-23 NIV) “I never knew you…”
~(John 3:16; 17:3 both NIV) eternal life = knowing God.
b. The primary way we know God is through the scriptures. The more we see Jesus in the scriptures, the more we’re transformed into His likeness.
~(2 Cor. 3:18) transformed by seeing Him
-(ref. 1 Cor. 13:12)
-(Jas. 1:23-24 TPT)
~(Heb. 10:1-10) The whole Book is about Him
~(Luke 24:13-48) post resurrection Jesus
2. (v18 AMP) know His plan.
3. (v19-21 AMP) know His power.
4. (v22-23) know your place in His body.
