I.Conceiving the Truth

A. Fellowship with God

1. (ref. 1 Pet. 1:23 AMP) God’s Word is His incorruptible Seed that contains His life, essence and DNA.

a. Seed must be conceived to produce fruit.

b. Conception requires intimacy and fertilization.

2. (1 Cor. 1:9) “God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Our most important calling as believers is fellowship with Jesus.

3. Fellowship (intimacy) with God includes (1) hearing God, (2) meditating His Word, (3) prayer, (4) worship, and (5) praise.

B The Secret Power of Praise

1.(Ps. 147:1) Praising God is good.

a. (Ps. 148) All of creation praise God!

b. (Ps. 150) Everyone, everywhere and with instruments praise Him!

c. (Ps. 34:1) Always praise God!

~(Eph. 5:19-20; Phil. 4:4; ref. 1 Thess. 5:16-18; 2 Cor. 2:14) continually praise!

2. What is the Bible definition of praise, and why is it so important to God that we continually praise Him and live with an attitude of gratitude?

The Bible defines praise as the act of acknowledging, extolling, and glorifying the attributes and goodness of God. It is an act of worship that exalts and magnifies the Lord for His divine qualities and mighty works. Praising God is not only a command but more importantly, it is an expression of gratitude and appreciation.

a.The believer is strengthened.

~(Deut. 28:47-48 AMP) the law demanded serving God with joy and gratitude.

~(Col. 2:6-7 AMP) faith is strengthened

-(Rom. 4:18-20 AMP) Abraham

~(Isa. 61:3) praise shifts your focus off of you and your problems to God, His ability, and promises. It magnifies God.

-(ex.) Serpent/Adam/Eve in the garden

-(Ps. 34:1-3; 69:30-31) we make God bigger in our minds with thanksgiving!

~(Ps. 100) Praise gains access to His presence

-(ex.) The Lord’s prayer

b. God is summoned.

~(Ps. 22:3 KJV) God dwells in praises of His people.

-The sound of the eternity is praise.

c. The devil is confused, silenced, stilled and paralyzed by praise to God.

~(Ps. 8:2; Matt. 21:15-16)

-(2 Chron. 20:18-19, 21) Jehoshaphat and Judah

3. Praising God brings victory and deliverance.

a. (Acts 16:25-31 KJV) Paul and Silas in prison.
