I.Conceiving the Truth
A. Fellowship with God
1. (ref. 1 Pet. 1:23 AMP) God’s Word is His incorruptible Seed that contains His life, essence and DNA.
a. Seed must be conceived to produce fruit.
b. Conception requires intimacy and fertilization.
2. (1 Cor. 1:9) “God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Our most important calling as believers is fellowship with Jesus.
3. Fellowship (intimacy) with God includes (1) hearing God, (2) meditating His Word, (3) prayer, (4) worship, and (5) praise.
B True Worship
1. (John 4:20-24) “…true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.”
a. (Mk. 7:5-9) “…And in vain they worship Me…”
2. What is true worship? Worship is a lifestyle of obeying, serving, glorifying, honoring and demonstrating allegiance, homage and dedication to God from the heart.
a. The word worship is derived from the ancient phrase “worth – ship” which means to ascribe worth and value to something or someone.
~(1 Chron. 16:29) glory, offering, holiness
~(Rom. 12:1-2 NLT) living sacrifice
b. (Gen. 22:2-14) 1st mention of love, worship, and Jehovah-Jireh.
~When we understand the love of God for us expressed through the sacrifice of Jesus, and we live a life of worship, God will provide everything we need.
2. Worship is the sound and the atmosphere of heaven where God resides.
a.(Rev. 4:8-11) the throne room of heaven.
b.(Rev. 5:8-14) singing and saying in heaven.
c.(Rev. 7:9-12) tribulation saints worship in heaven.
3. Satan wants mankind’s worship.
a.(Mattt. 4:8-11) Jesus in the wilderness
b. (Rev. 13:4-8, 11-18) the dragon, the beast and the false prophet demand man’s worship during the great tribulation.
