A.Building Life on the Right Foundation
1.Building life on the Rock.
a.(Luke 6:43-49) the foundation you build your life on determines the fruit that your life produces.
b.We’re living in a day of chaos, confusion and lies. Many no longer know what truth is. What was wrong, is now right, and right is now wrong. Evil is good and good is evil, because of the attempt to assassinate truth.

B.What is Truth?
1.(John 18:36-38) Jesus came to bear witness to and testify of the truth. Pilate asked Jesus, “what is truth?”
a.“Truth is the absolute standard whereby all reality is measured.”
~Truth must be a fixed unchanging standard.
-2 + 2 = 4 and will always equal 4.
-Truth transcends time, trends, emotions.
-Truth must live outside of you.
b.We can’t be the source of truth:
~We are limited in knowledge by our humanity.
~Our imperfections
~Our moral instincts differ.
c.Your reality can be facts, and not truth.
~Facts can change but not truth.
~Facts are temporary but truth is eternal.
d.Truth must come from a perfect source.
2.God is Truth.
a.(ref. Ps. 31:5; Isa. 65:16; Deut. 32:4) God the Father is called “the God of truth…”
b.(ref. John 14:17; 15:26; 16:13) the Holy Spirit is called “the Spirit of truth”
c.(John 1:14, 14:6) Jesus is the truth.
3.Truth is God’s view on any subject matter, because God is Truth and cannot lie.
a.(Rom. 3:3-4; Tit. 1:2; Heb. 6:17-18)
B.The Source of Truth is God’s Word
1.(John 17:17) The source of Truth is God’s Word.
a.(John 1:1-4) The Bible is not merely a book about God but it is the voice of God in hard-copy.

~(Isa. 55:8-11)
~(Matt. 24:35; Rev. 22:18)
2.(John 8:31-32, 36) The truth in God’s Word contains the power to make you free!
a.(1 Thess. 2:13 AMP)
b.(Matt. 4:4)
3. In closing… (ref. Luke 6:46-49) Jesus said, whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings and does them…
