I.Building Life on the Right Foundation

A. Building Life on the Right Foundation

1. Where are the Real Men?

a. (Luke 6:43-49) the foundation you build your life on determines the fruit that your life produces.

b. (ref. Ps. 11:3) “If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?”

c. (Gen. 3:8-12, 17 NIV) “…man, where are you?” God is asking Adam a question that has more to do with priority, position and purpose than his location. Man had abandoned his role and position.

d. Manhood – is the male who has taken the responsibility to operate under divine authority.

B. Man’s Priority, Position and Purpose

1. Priority means because God made man first, he is to function as the foundation and the one responsible for the human family even if he’s not at fault.

a.(Gen. 2:5-7 CSB; 1 Tim. 2:13)

b.(Exo. 34:23-24, v10)

c.(1 Cor. 11:3 AMP)

2. Position means because God put man in the garden of Eden, that was where he was to remain in God’s presence in order to be, do and have what God purposed for mankind.

a. (Gen. 2:8-14) life in the garden of Eden was like heaven on earth.

b. (ref. Gen. 1) The law of Genesis. God speaks to the source of the thing He wants to create.

3. Purpose is the God-given assignment, function or tasks that God created him to fulfill.

a.(Prov. 19:21 AMP)

~Purpose can only be determined by the maker

~Purpose determines design.

~Purpose precedes production.

~Without purpose life becomes an experiment.

b. (Gen. 2:15, 19-20 all AMP)

~Provider – home, work

~Cultivator – develop, grow, improve, be productive

~Visionary – dream, see what can’t yet be seen

~Protector – Satan is present to kill, steal & destroy.

c. (Gen. 2:16-17) God’s Word must be the man’s final authority.

~Leader – man should be the spiritual leader

~Teacher – man was responsible for teaching his wife what God said.
