A. Building Life on the Right Foundation
1. (Luke 6:43-49) the foundation you build your life on determines the fruit that your life produces.
a. Explain foundations: spiritual, mental, social, & physical.
B. Build your identity on the right foundation.
1. (2 Cor. 5:17-18) When you received Jesus you became a brand new creation with a brand new identity and all things have become new!
a. God didn’t just change your life when you got born-again; He exchanged your old life with His!
2. (Num. 13:30-33) The way you see yourself is everything!
a. (Matt. 3:17; 4:3, 6) Satan tried to stop Jesus from fulfilling His purpose by questioning His identity.
~The 7 “I Am’s” of Jesus in John: I am the bread of life; I am the light of the world; I am the gate; I am the good shepherd; I am the resurrection and the life; I am the way the truth and the life; I am the true vine.
3. (Matt. 16:13-19) Jesus asked the disciples the most important question that can be asked to mankind, “but who do you say that I am?”
a.(1 John 4:17) “…as He is so are we in this world.”
