A.Ephesians 1:3-14 – The work of the Father, Son & Holy Spirit
1. (v3-6) The work of the Father in the past
a. (v3) blessed us
b. (v4) chose us
c. (v5) predestined us and adopted us
~There is no scripture that says anyone is predestined for hell. (ref 2 Pet. 3:9; Rev. 3:5)
~(John 1:12-13) born-again by regeneration
~(Rom. 8:14-17) adoption vs. regeneration
-Adoption huiothesia – placed into sonship from slavery
~Why did the Father bless, choose, predestine and adopt us? It pleased Him to do so (v5)
d. (v6) “to the praise of the glory of His grace”

b. the forgiveness of sins
c. having made know to us the mystery of His will
d. bring together in one all things in Christ
e. we have obtained an inheritance
3. (v13-14) The work of the Holy Spirit
