A.Fear God, Not Man
1.What is the Fear of the Lord?
a.It is to have reverential, awe, respect, and honor for God. Trusting and obeying who He is and what He says above everything else.
b.The fear of the LORD is developed by knowing God through a real relationship with Jesus and His Word.
2.(Prov. 29:25 NLT; Ps. 115:11) Respecting man’s opinion over God’s opinion is a dangerous trap.
a.(2 Thess. 2:3 AMP; 1 Tim. 4:1-5 NLT; 2 Tim. 3:1-7 NLT) end-time falling away from God.
3.Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, & Abed-nego wouldn’t bow and wouldn’t bend because they feared the Lord and not men.
a.(Dan. 1:5-8, 17-20) Nebuchadnezzar besieged Jerusalem.
b.(Dan. 2:1-3, 10-19, 46-49) Nebuchadnezzar’s dream. God’s wisdom will promote you.
c.(Dan. 3:16-30) Nebuchadnezzar makes statue of himself and commands everyone to fall down and worship it when the music plays.
d.(Dan. 6:1-7, 10-28) The governors made a law to get Daniel thrown into the lion’s den.
