A.What is Grace?
1.Foundation verse: (Rom. 5:17) reigning in life through receiving abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness.
2.What is Grace? G.R.A.C.E – God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense. Grace is God’s power, strength and ability to be who you are born to be, and to do what you are born to do through faith; unmerited favor.
3.Where is grace found?
a.Grace is found in Jesus
~Grace is multiplied and grows through a revelation and personal relationship with Jesus.
~Grace is like the manna the children of Israel had to get daily in the wilderness.
b.Grace is found at the throne of grace.
c.Grace is found at the point of human weakness.
d.Grace is given to the humble.
B.Frustrating, Falling from and Perverting Grace
1.(Gal. 2:16-21 KJV) Frustrating grace is when we seek to be made righteous by our own works or holiness.
2.(Gal. 5:1-4 NLT) Falling from grace is self-righteousness or self-effort to live this Christian life; trusting in anything other than Jesus for salvation, righteousness, blessing, etc.
3.(Rom. 5:20; 6:1-3 all TPT) Perverting grace by:
~license to commit immorality (sexual sins)
~It’s okay to be greedy (self-indulgence)
~turning people away from Jesus (poor lifestyle choices)
a.(Jude 1-25 TPT) Jude gives 6 examples of perverting of grace.
