A. Releasing Your Spiritual Game-Changing Superpower
1. Some teach against other tongues or that tongues have ceased along with all the manifestation gifts of the Spirit.
a. (1 Cor. 12:28-30 NIV) This refers to ministry office gifts not the prayer language.
b.(1 Cor. 13:8-10 NLT) This refers to Christ return.
c. (1 Cor. 14:39 NLT) don’t forbid tongues
2. (1 Cor. 14:5, [v18 AMPC]) Apostle Paul’s experience.
3. 8 benefits of speaking in other tongues:
#1-#2 Helps in our weaknesses and prays the perfect will of God. (Rom. 8:26-27 TPT)
#3 Speaking forth the hidden wisdom of God for your glory. (1 Cor. 14:2b AMP; 1 Cor. 2:6-14)
~(ref. Prov. 20:5) when you pray in tongues you’re drawing forth and speaking the mind of Christ.
#4 Edifies (builds, charges, encourages) oneself.
~(1 Cor. 14:4 TPT)
#5 Builds up your faith. (Jude 1:20 AMP)
#6 Keeps us in the love of God. (Jude 1:20-21)
#7 Facilitates intimacy with God. (1 Cor. 14:2, 14)
~Direct communication with God, spirit to Spirit.
#8 Praying in tongues will bring us into rest and refreshing (R & R). (Isa. 28:11-12)
4. How do I receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit?
a.(Luke 11:13) Ask and receive by faith
