I. Knowing and Praying the Will of God
- (Eph. 5:15-20 NIV) “…Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.”
a. Because God needs our consent and cooperation to bring to pass His will in our lives we need to know His will.
(Satan needs your consent and cooperation to bring to pass His will to steal, kill and destroy your life.)
~(2 Tim. 3:16-17 TPT) The primary source for knowing God’s will is His Word.
(ref. John 8:31-32; John 17:17; Ps. 119:105)
b.(Jer. 29:11-14 NIV) God has plans to prosper you!
~(Ps. 139:13-18 NIV)
~(Prov. 19:21 AMPC) God blesses His plans and purpose for you not yours if it differs from God’s.
2. (John 14:26; 16:12-15) The second source for knowing God’s will is His Spirit.
a. (1 Cor. 2:6-16 NIV) God gives us His Spirit so we may know the things He has freely given to us.
~We speak forth these mysteries in other tongues by the Spirit. (1 Cor. 14:2, 14-15 NIV)

~(Rom. 8:26-27) the Holy Spirit prays through us, on our behalf, the will of God.
b. (Luke 11:9-13) simply ask the Father to baptize you with the Holy Spirit and receive Him by faith.
