1.​ This series is about exposing and dispelling the lies of the devil and revealing God’s truth. God has a prescription for life that brings blessing in every area of life, but we must see through the lies of the devil to make right choices in life.

​B.​The Love of Money (the spirit of mammon)

a.​One of the things that can complicate your life most and pull you away from God is the wrong view of money.

• Jesus talked about money twice as much as heaven and hell.
• 16 of the 38 parables of Jesus had to do with money and possessions.
• There are just over 500 verses about prayer and faith; but there are over 2000 verses about money and possessions.

2.​Why? Because money is more spiritual than natural.

What Would You Do for $10,000,000.00?

• 25% would abandon their entire family
• 25% would abandon the church
• 23% would become prostitutes for a week or more
• 16% would leave their spouse
• 10% would withhold testimony and let a murderer go free
• 7% would kill a stranger
• 3% would put their children up for adoption

C.​The Truth About Money

​Lie #4​My stuff belongs to me.

• We are simply stewards of
wealth.

D.​God’s Solution

​​a.​Isn’t tithing an Old Testament law?

• Yes! Tithing communicates that God is 1st.

b.​“I can’t afford to tithe.”

• There’s two types of people in tithing:

Person 1 – I need 100% to get from A to B in my lifetime.

Person 2 – I’m going to trust God to take me from A to B to C with 90%
