I.Conceiving the Truth

A. Fellowship with God

1. The Word must be conceived to bear fruit.

a. (ref. 1 Pet. 1:23 AMP) God’s Word is incorruptible Seed that bears His nature, essence and DNA.

~Seed must be conceived to produce fruit.

~(ex. farmers, babies, God’s promises)

b. (1 Cor. 1:9) Our most important calling as believers is fellowship with Jesus. Why?

~Conception requires intimacy and fertilization.

~(John 15:4-8 TPT)

2. Fellowship (intimacy) with God includes (1) hearing God, (2) meditating on His Word, (3) prayer, (4), worship, and (5) praise.

B Hearing God

1. Hearing God (via reading the Scriptures, hearing preaching/teaching, the inward witness, the Holy Spirit and godly counsel) is the most important component in your relationship with God. (ref. Ps. 107:20)

2. (Rom. 10:17 NLT) Faith is spiritual conception.

a. Word = Good News = Gospel; the gospel is power of God to deliver you from the power of darkness, sin, sickness, lack, etc. (ref. Rom. 1:16)

b. (Luke 5:15; 6:17-19) “to hear and to be healed”

c. (Matt. 4:23-24; 9:35) Jesus teaching, preaching and healing.

d. (Acts 14:7-10) Paul preaching the gospel.

3. (Luke 5:17-22) Power was present to heal but because of reasoning instead of believing in the heart most didn’t receive.

a. (Matt. 13:15) Dullness of the heart is often due to the multitude of other voices saturating our ears sowing doubt, unbelief and fear in our hearts.

~(ref. Gen. 3:1) Adam/Eve/serpent

~(Jas. 1:14-18) sin and sickness must be conceived just like the salvation, health and wealth etc.

b. (Prov. 4:20-23) plant the word in your heart by

(1) giving your attention to it,

(2) inclining your ears to it,

(3) envisioning and seeing it, and

(4) guarding your heart with all diligence above all that you guard.

c. (Matt. 4:4) Jesus equated hearing the word with eating food.
