I.The Power of a Kingdom Woman
A. Men Need Respect
1. (ref. Gen. 1:26-28) God’s 3-fold purpose for creating mankind was to expand His heavenly invisible kingdom to the physical realm by reflecting, having ruler-ship, and replenishing Himself and His kingdom through man.
a. (ref. v27) Man the spirit comes in two models – male and female. Male and female are equal in essence but distinct in function.
b. (Eph. 5:33) Purpose determines design. The male and female were designed differently to complement each other and accomplish different purposes, and therefore they have different emotional needs.
~Women need love, men need respect.
2.10 Ways to Show Respect to Your Husband
1. Speak sweetly ref. Prov. 31:26 please & thank you; hello/good-bye; gentle tone.
2. Let him open his own mail (if he wants to).
3. Ask him about his likes and dislikes during sex.
4. Iron his shirts, fold his socks and do the laundry.
5. Forgive your husband for something he did that hurt you.
6. Be ready to leave on time.
7. Sit with him while he watches one of his favorite TV shows.
8. Deny taking other phone calls while you’re with him. (especially on date night)
9. Refrain from disagreeing with your husband or correcting him with small details when you with other people or in public.
10. Build your own confidence and self-respect. You can’t love and respect someone else until you first love and respect yourself.
B. Women Need Love
1.4 different types of love in the New Testament
a. eros –sensual, sexual, physical, romantic love
b. storge – family love, parent, child, sibling
c. philia – friendship, brotherly love
d. agape – perfect, unconditional, sacrificial love
2.(Eph. 5:25-32) “Husbands love (agape) your wives…”
a. (Rom. 5:8) Agape is always demonstrative
~(ref. 1 John 4:8) “God is love”
~(ref. John 3:16) agape gives with no expectation of return
~(ref. John 14:15, 23-24) agape keeps the word
~(1 Cor. 13:4-8 AMP)
~(1 Pet. 3:7 AMP)
3. Practical ways to show love to your wife:
1.Loving your wife means making her feel secure.
a. She must feel she’s your one and only woman! (mom, daughters, sisters, other women)
~Your homies, habits, & hobbies are in their proper priority.
b. She must feel your commitment is for life. Faithfulness to God, your assignment (career), the family, finances and the future.
c. Sharing in household chores and responsibilities. (cooking, cleaning etc)
~Helping with the children. (transport, homework, wake up, bedtime)
2. Loving your wife means making the time to be together and giving her time away from the kids.
a.Date night or day dates.
b.Gifts on holidays, birthdays, anniversaries
3. Loving your wife means open and honest communication.
a.Talk, talk, talk to her.
b.Reassure her how beautiful she constantly.
c.Non-sexual affection
d.Boast of her and your appreciation of her
4. Loving your wife means leading her spiritually.
