I.Reignite Your Faith
A. 4 Reasons We Must Reignite and Reestablish Our Faith
1.We must reignite and reestablish our faith:
a.(ref. Rom. 1:17; 2 Cor. 5:7) Faith is the foundation of lifestyle for the believer.
b.(ref. 1 John 5:4) Faith is the foundation for victory.
c.(ref. Heb. 11:6) Faith is the foundation for pleasing God.
d.(ref. Rom. 4:16) All of the promises of God are received by grace through the vehicle of faith.
2.Definition & characteristics of faith: (Heb. 11:1 AMPC). Faith possesses what God has provided by grace; right believing.
a.(ref. Rom. 3:27) Faith a spiritual law.
b.(ref. Rom. 5:1-2) We access God’s grace by faith.
c.(ref. Mark:1122-23) Faith is voice activated.
d.(ref. Jas. 2:26 GNT) Faith requires action.
B.How Faith Comes
1.(Rom. 10:17 NKJV/AMPC/NLT) How does faith come?
a.The God-kind of faith is contained in His Word.
~(Heb. 4:12; 1 Thess. 2:13 both AMPC) God’s DNA is contained in His Word.
b.(John 1:1-4, 14; 6:63) God and His Word are synonymous and inseparable.
~Faith in God is faith in His Word. You can replace “faith” with “God’s word” and get better understanding of faith.
~“Now God’s Word gives substance to things hoped for; God’s Word is the evidence of things not seen.” (Heb. 11:1 modified)
2.(Isa. 55:8-11 NLT) God’s Word is seed and bread.
a.(1 Pet. 1:23 AMPC) God’s Word is seed.
b.(Matt. 4:4) God’s Word is bread.
