Success God’s Way Part 2

 A Personal Intimate Relationship with God

1. Dictionary definition: Success – (1) the accomplishment of an aim or purpose. (2) the attainment of fame, wealth or social status.
a. (Luke 12:15, 20-21 NLT) Success in life is not measured by how much you own, but by the depth of your relationship with God.

2. The big picture is God is in love with His fallen creation mankind. Because Satan deceived mankind and caused Him to rebel against God, God needs our partnership in winning mankind back to Himself.

3. Salvation can be truly summed up in an intimate relationship with God.

a.(John 3:16-17 NIV) eternal life through Jesus.

b.(John 17:3) eternal life = knowing God.

~ Know (ginosko) to intimately know in relationship, become well acquainted with; idiom for sexual intercourse between a husband and wife. Knowing God is to be in union with Him having an intimate loving personal relationship that results in bearing fruit.

c. (Matt. 7:21-27 NIV) knowing Him causes you to keep His word and build a great life.

d. (John 15:3-11, 14-16 TPT) intimate relationship with Jesus.
