I.Effective Prayer
A. Pray and Don’t Quit
1. Last week we covered some parameters of the prayer of petition. This week I want to cover what to do between the “Ask” and the “Have it.”
a. You only need to pray the prayer of petition once in faith, but there are other types of prayer to continue and other things to do until manifestation.
2. Pray and don’t quit until you have it.
a. (Luke 18:1-8 GNT) This is a comparison by contrast parable.
~God answers prayers quickly but time will be involved. Delay does not mean denial!
~Stay in faith! Keep speaking to your mountains!
b. (Luke 11:9-13 AMP) Ask, Seek, & Knock – go after it!
c. (1 Thess. 5:16-18) Continue in prayers of thanksgiving.
d. (Eph. 6:18 AMP) Praying in the Spirit (prayer of intercession)
3. Prayer in the Spirit (Prayer of Intercession)
a. (Rom. 8:26-27) the Holy Spirit makes intercession for us.
~(John 11:33, 38) Groaning in the spirit
b. (1 Cor. 2:6-14) Speaking forth the wisdom of God in a mystery (in other tongues) for your glory.
c. (1 Cor. 14:2, 4) “…in the spirit he speaks mysteries.”
~(Jude 1:20-21) “building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit.”
~(1 Cor. 14:14) “…my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful.”
~(1 Cor. 14:18 AMP) Paul says he prayed in tongues more than the whole church together!
